Broadview Public Safety Operations
In October 2025, at the request of the Broadview Police Department, the Cook County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) and the Illinois State Police (ISP), with assistance from the Cook County Department of Emergency Management and Regional Security and the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security (IEMA-OHS), established a temporary Unified Command to coordinate public safety measures around the facility being used by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Broadview, Illinois.

Additional local law enforcement personnel may provide assistance, including during large events. These additional personnel operate under Illinois law and local command authority and are deployed strictly for public safety support.
The mission of the Unified Command is to coordinate crowd safety, traffic management, emergency response, resource allocation, and medical personnel response near the Broadview facility. The Unified Command does not include federal immigration agencies and does not engage in immigration enforcement activities.
